Bayer Corporation Launches World Environment Day 2010 Web Site

PITTSBURGH, March 11, 2010 — A new Web site launched today, www.bayerpittsburghwed.com, describes Bayer Corporation's commitment to World Environment Day on June 5.

The United Nations created World Environment Day in 1972 to spark environmental awareness and action. It's one of the world's largest annual events of its kind. Pittsburgh, home to Bayer's North American headquarters, will host this year's event. Bayer's new Web site describes its environmental commitment worldwide and describes the company's local environmental programs. It features a Twitter news feed and a multimedia room with news releases, videos and historical photos. World Environment Day is part of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). Bayer supports UNEP worldwide.
